📌 Pre-Install Checklist

1. Package Inspection

Ensure you have: 1 cover, 2 threads, 2 needles, 1 double-sided adhesive, 1 trim tool, and 1 thimble.

2. ⚠️ DO NOT Remove Original Leather

Our covers are precision-engineered to be installed over your factory steering wheel leather.

3. Orientation Guide

The "F" label marks the Front (driver side), "B" indicates the Back (dashboard side).

4. Preliminary Fitment

Always dry-fit the cover first to confirm the alignment of spokes and markers before starting.

🛠️ Step-by-Step Installation

Positioning & Alignment

Center your steering wheel. Starting from 12 o'clock, stretch the cover over the wheel. Symmetrically align the seams and ensure the "12 o'clock marker" (if applicable) is perfectly centered.
Strategic Use of Double-Sided Tape

Adhesive is highly recommended for a tight, professional finish in these specific areas:
- Long Spokes (>5cm): Prevents the leather from sliding or twisting.
- Concave/Recessed Structures: As shown below, apply tape inside the curve to eliminate "hollow gaps" and air pockets.
⚠️ Pro Tip: Use tape sparingly to fix the position only. Over-taping will prevent the leather from moving naturally as you pull the stitches tight.
Tuck the Extra Leather

Use the trim tool to push excess leather into the spoke gaps. For an easier tuck, you can slightly loosen the screws on the back of the steering wheel to widen the gaps.
Hand-Stitching & Alignment Calibration

Thread the needle and start sewing. Important: Because the stitches are hand-finished and spoke lengths can vary slightly between front and back, do not just stitch blindly.
💡 Alignment Technique:
As you sew, constantly check if the leather joints/seams and center markers are aligned. If you notice a potential misalignment ahead:
- To speed up one side: Skip a stitch (jump one stitch) on the longer side.
- To slow down one side: Pass the needle through the same stitch twice on the shorter side.
This "dynamic calibration" ensures your seams and markers end up perfectly straight.
Finishing the Knot

After completing a section, wind the thread 5-6 times on the inner side to create a secure knot. Cut the excess and tuck the tail out of sight using the trim tool.
